Depicted is a church (I assume) though i’m not sure which one. It isn’t either of the two most famous ones Cathedral of San Carlos de Bariloche or Capilla de San Eduardo. NOTES: Donaustadt (literally, Danube City) is the 22nd district of Vienna, Austria. The city is old but but the district is new (established 1946).Most of the sites are from other districts though the Donauturm tower (opened 1964) is depicted.

SPLIT , CROATIA – Wall Ornament

PLACE REPRESENTED: Split , Croatia

ITEM: Wall Plate

NOTES: Split, featuring St Dominius Cathedral, done in pyrography (wood decorated with burn marks) on a carved plate. St Dominius (Katedrala Svetog Duje) is located inside the gates of Diocletian’s Palace built in Roman times as the Mausoleum of Diocletian before being converted to a church in the 7th century. Mass is still held here today, making it one of the oldest Catholic cathedrals in the world still in use in its original structure.
