NOTES: A cap from Warwick in Queensland’s southwest saying “Happy Birthday” to Warwick’s City Band … 125 years! I didn’t even know Warwick had a city band, or were a city …and I have spent much time in Warwick.

NOTES: A beautiful stainless steel drinks tray depicting all the sites of Tasmania, as they were circa 1965 (can’t be before the Tasman Bridge, bottom left, was completed in 1964). This drinks tray is exactly the same as another I have posted except King’s Bridge at Launceston has been replaced by Prince’s Square Fountain at Launceston. No idea why.

NOTES: A miniature of the famous Vietnamese cyclo, a three-wheel bicycle taxi (Cycle rickshaw) that appeared in Vietnam in 1939 during the French colonial period (after a failed attempt to introduce rickshaws). They are as identifiable in Vietnam as are the gondolas of Venice, or the black cabs of London. But just in case you don’t know where one is from (and they do exist in various forms around the world), there is a Vietnam logo in the seat This miniature has all moving parts and even works on the pedals … of course you would need a miniature person to use it.

NOTES: Okay, so this is designed to come from anywhere given the “Grand Canyon Nat’l Park” is a decal at the front. But, this chess and checkers set is designed for the traveller, or even for the kids in the back seat in the days before electronics, especially useful on the long drive to the Grand Canyon. And, in any event, have chess (and checkers) will travel. You will always find someone who plays chess.
