NOTES: Land’s End certainly lives up to its name being on the furtherest southern western point of the English mainland. This beautifully detailed cup with about everything you can do and see. On the other side the famous “First and Last House In England” is depicted … which, apparently, is a little (expensive) shop by itself on the edge of a very windy, but visually stunning, cliff.

NOTES: A mug from Holland. I’ve known a couple of mugs from Holland. Or is it a stein? No doubt one of the Dutch will tell me what a beer stein is called in Dutch. But what do the Dutch know about beer? Just kidding.

This stein is pure “souvenir” depicting traditional scenes of Holland past . Note the Amsterdam Red Light District and “Coffee” Houses are not depicted.

NOTES: Nice trivet that can also be a display. A buttercross, also known as butter cross, is a type of market cross associated with English market towns and dating from medieval times. The one depicted is in Market Drayton, in the country of Shropshire, England. Northern Shropshire is famous for its cheeses and dairy products, hence the market (or Buttercross) in the line drawing, which was built in 1824. The town once had a court of ‘pied poudre’; here litigants could settle their differences immediately they reached market – in other words, while they still had dusty (or powdered) feet.
