SCOTLAND – Cap

scotland-cap-flag-1PLACE REPRESENTED:   Scotland

The flag is called the Saltire or the Saint Andrew’s Cross”. https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Scotland

FREMANTLE, WESTERN AUSTRALIA, AUSTRALIA – Wall Ornament

Fremantle - Wall Ornament (1)PLACE REPRESENTED: Fremantle, Western Australia , Australia

MALAYSIA – Key Ring

Malaysia - key ring (1)

PLACE REPRESENTED:   Malaysia

ITEM: Key Ring  Holder

NOTES: A dainty little key ring made out of material and wood with a bell attached underneath. Clearly the bell is not there to help you find your keys (think about it) … it must be to give you a little aural magic you walk along. It is all very delicate. I don’t think it would last long in my pocket.

YEAR (APPROXIMATE): 2000s

MADE FROM: wood , material , steel

MADE IN:  unknown

MANUFACTURER: unknown

DIMENSIONS: 14cm long  (including chain)

MYKONOS, GREECE – Candle Holder

Mykonos - Greece - candle holder (1)PLACE REPRESENTED: Mykonos , Greece

ITEM: Candle Holder

NOTES: A really nice tea tree candle holder with coloured and painted glass. Quite evocative for a recent travel trinket. Mykonos is a Greek island in the Aegean and has, the typically, white houses and the famous Mykonos windmills as depicted on the glass. Mykonos’ nickname is “The island of the winds” which explains the windmills, and possibly why the candle needs to be encased in a lantern!

Much more subtle than the Australian comedy “The Kings of Mykonos” (2010).

YEAR (APPROXIMATE): 2000s

MADE FROM: steel , glass

MADE IN:  unknown

MANUFACTURER: unknown

DIMENSIONS: 20.5cm high x 7.5cm wide at base
